Description
Prototype image, 1999
Visual Narcotics observes the dosage of media.
The project began in 1999 with the distribution of a simple symbol, a pharmaceutical pill marked 20mg.
The symbol appeared through stickers, prints, and street placements, functioning as a signal within the constant circulation of images, advertising, entertainment,
and information.
Visual Narcotics refers to the continuous exposure to media that shapes perception in modern life. Images, sound, and information circulate constantly through screens, streets, and public space.
The symbol functions as a marker within that system.
Every signal carries a dose.
Consume as directed.
Still circulating.
